Position Title: Oracle Financials Grants Administration Analyst

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Member of team responsible for analysis, design, development, and maintenance of systems that support Finance and Research Administration.
Primarily responsible for the Oracle GRANTS ACCOUNTING/PROJECT ACCOUNTING application.
Assess fit of Oracle modules to clients environment, identify interface points with other inerternal systems, and help system owners recognize valid opportunities for change in their business processes or procedures.
Utilize proven business process and systems analysis techniques such as process charts and data flow diagrams to convey exicting or desired functionality.
Help construct, conduct and assess Conference Room Pilots of new applications.
Analyze business requirements and create solution design, functional desing, and specification documents for use by programming staff.
Work with Business Process Owners to resolve issues raised during design phase.
Plan, conduct, document, and record results of integration and system acceptance tests.
Work with trainers and documentation writers to enable them to develop instructional materials to support the clients' use of the application.
Train other team members, central office clients and distributed users in the use of applications and associated tools as necessary.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Financial Analyst &/or Higher Education Accounting - 5 yrs.
- Team Lead - 1yrs. plus
- Oracle Grants Accounting
- Oracle Financials
- Project Accounting
- Experience in the anlysis of complex functions, procedures and problems to find effective solutions.
- Track record of performance as an effective analyst in team-based environment.
- Ability to understand and interpret complex data.
- Ability to understand linkages between various Oracle Applications.
- Ability to produce results under tight deadlines and within allocated resources. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate abstract ideas and to communicate ideas graphically as well as in narrative form.
- Ability to facilitate meetings and make presentations is highly desired.
- Proven ability to work with people at multiple level of an organization, to obtain and synthesize advice from a broad-based constituency,
- and to coordinate activities to conclusion across organizational units is highly desired
