Position Title: Business Analyst

JOB DESCRIPTION: Client is replacing its legacy Administration Systems with PeopleSoft's Administration System. Major modules are: Administration, Records & Financials. The Records analyst will play a key role in implementing PeopleSoft's Records module, which includes support for catalog, scheduling, transcripts & more. The Records Analyst will participate in the analysis of business needs of Records clients, which include multiple users, & will help determine optimal implementation approaches & business processes to support those needs. Decisions & work results may have strategic impact that effect the functioning of these departments as well as the main company. This large scale,complex,project implementation will require the candidate to participate in all phases of the application development cycle: analysis, design, testing,mplementation & docue implementation & documentation. Business &systems analysis:Applies understanding of client needs,organizational &user requirements to achieve system solutions.Participates in design analysis of Records module implementation activities.Software Implementation: Identifies & helps resolve implementation issues.Helps to develop & implement strategies for reporting & batch processing.Participates in the development of testing plans.Works with technical infrastructure team to oversee vendor releases & ongoing production support.Assists in determining training approaches & ongoing support needs for business clients.Client Support: Communicates effectively & responds to client issues;assists in the determination of training approaches approaches, & Campus Readiness development efforts.
Responsibilities: Technical leadership: Provides solutions for particularly complex implementation issues. May oversee the day-to-day work of other members of the implementation team, working on both functional & technical activities, including the development of functional & technical specs.May represent the Records team in other group discussions both within & outside of the project.

QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires a strong professional commitment to the successful implementation of a highly complex systems, combined with an understanding of how to achieve that success. These abilities may result from a degree in Information Systems or related fields & at least 2 years of related experience. Candidates must show demonstrated experience in business analysis & systems design of complex administrative systems.Demonstrated business analysis & system design of complex admin systems.Strong conceptual,logical & problem-solving abilities to address complex business problems Strong understanding of relational databa se concepts.Demonstrated experience in software development lifecycle: Prototyping &/or conversion experience Developing functional & technical specificationsDesigning & implementing reporting & batch processing functionaly System testing,user acceptance testing,regression testing App deployment- training, documentation Strong organizational skills Excellent written & verbal communication skills Demonstrated experience to independently learn & apply new technologies & methodologies for development initiatives. Understanding of web technologies & experience in 3rd party tools to aid in to aid in implementation highly desirable.Expertise in Administration &/or PeopleSoft implementations is highly desirable.
Additional qualifications : Demonstrated experience in: solving very complex business problems and other implementation issues overseeing the work of other team members playing a key role in all phases of the implementation life cycle
