Position Title: SR. PeopleSoft/Business Analyst

JOB DESCRIPTION: Client is implementing the PeopleSoft (SA) software package to replace its home grown legacy system. The PeopleSoft SA system will be implemented interactively within an aggressive time schedule. The PeopleSoft Business Analyst will be part of the team responsible for configuring PeopleSoft SA needs of the multiple client offices concerned with financial transactions, for designing interfaces between the SA system and other administrative systems, for identifying potential business process improvements that the PeopleSoft SA requires or facilitates and for identifying and specifying any necessary extensions to the PeopleSoft SA. Some of the major challenges for the team will be prototyping PeopleSoft setups for meeting business needs, designing interfaces to the legacy financial system, designing interfaces to the legacy accounts payable system for check production, developing an adequate solution for replacing the current cashier system, developing support for new payment, designing a new billing system within PeopleSoft, and developing a strategy for replacing the semi-automated entry of data from bills (now barcoded). Effective implementation will require close collaboration and quick problem resolution with other functional teams on the project and client offices . The Business Analyst will have responsibility for leading the analysis and design effort for a major portion of this work and for assuring the necessary collaboration and timely issue resolution with other parties. Additionally, s/he will be responsible for documenting solutions and for developing test plans and performing testing.

QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS degree or equivalent experience. Solid understanding of business analysis and accounting principles/practices. 5 years of experience in accounting positions and/or as a financial analyst and one year as a team lead. Very strong analytic skills. Experience in developing system design documents and in process modeling. Understanding of relational data base design principles and facility in RDBMS query tools. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience in leading collaborative design and problem-solving efforts. Strong interpersonal skills, including the abilities t o develop a spirit of teamwork within groups of diverse interests and skills and to overcome resistance to change. Ability to manage to tight timelines with multiple competing priorities. Financials, PeopleSoft or other complex commercial software application (e.g., an Oracle application) is expected.
